Litecoin

A cryptocurrency inspired largely by Bitcoin.
Litecoin (LTC) was launched in October 2011 by Charlie Lee. While Bitcoin is thought of as gold, acting as a store of value, Litecoin can be thought of as silver, performing as a medium of exchange. Faster transaction confirmation times and lower transaction fees make Litecoin appealing as a form of payment.  Transactions are confirmed every 2.5 minutes, as opposed to every 10 minutes for Bitcoin. Litecoin fees are often less than $1. Litecoin has a supply limit of 84,000,000.
